According to a database compiled by The Times, there are 59,684 registered Chihuahuas in Los Angeles County, followed by 58,071 Labradors. Although considering how many small dogs with Napoleon complexes are at the dog parks and how many you can stuff into a small box, maybe I shouldn't be.

This is from an article I gleaned from the LA Animal Services blog by Ed Boks. While it is getting toward the end of the summer there are bound to be quite a few hot days left before the blessed cool begins. The article itself is from the NY Daily News by Nicole Lyn Pesce and has some real good advice as well as a full dose of common sense.

LA's Union Station is becoming even more relevant with today's increased cost of transportation. I am looking forward to future improvements in light rail systems and hopefully a new high speed train running from Sacramento to LA and hopefully to Union Station.

Ruff Wear has introduced a new boot for your dog. Beag has a set of the more heavy duty version "grip trex" boot for when she runs along side on mountain bike rides. 
But now Ruff Wear has introduced a lighter, more casual version called "Skyliner."
